
Charles W. Rigdon is a real estate entrepreneur with a proven track record. Since 1981, Charles has been actively involved in the real estate business in the Florida panhandle, Alabama and Mississippi gulf coast. During this period, Charles successfully completed numerous real estate ventures on the coast as developer, consultant, managing member, partner or investor. With this experience, he developed a wealth of financial and operation expertise in real estate. Charles spent the last 15 years as President and Chief Operating Office of M&R Development Inc. headquartered in Destin, Florida. In this position, he set the strategic direction of the company. M&R Development specialized in planning, permitting and developing residential and condominium projects.
Charles earned his B.S. in Accounting from Troy University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida. He has experience in banking; he served on the Board of Directors for Destin Bank where he was Chairman of the loan committee. The bank was sold in 2005 to Whitney National Bank. Starting in 2007, Charles, due to his experience and knowledge, was designated and approved as a court appointed Receiver. Charles believes in a commitment to his community. He serves on the school advisory council for Destin Elementary and Destin Middle School. For the past 20 years, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Florida Fair. Charles lives in Destin, Florida with his wife Tina and they have two children, Lauren and Blake.
